Students who attend in-person classes will need to follow Unicorn Haven's Safety Guidelines.
These safety guidelines are for the well-being of teachers, staff, others in the Pathway to Work Building, and our students.
These guidelines will continuously be compared to and possibly revised to meet Federal, State, and Local guidelines.
- Students will be responsible for bringing their own pencil or any other materials they will need for the class (teacher will inform you prior to each class if any other materials are necessary)
- Please stay home if you are sick.
- Unicorn Haven reserves the right to use a touchless thermometer. If your student tests positive for a fever, they will be sent home and may not return for 14 days.
- Students are required to wash their hands upon arrival. Hand soap and sanitizer will be provided. They should try to avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth.
- We will ask students to wash their hands at the end of the class too.
- All classrooms will be wiped down before and after each student session.
- Please have your student wear their own face-covering on campus. Pathways to Work has posted numerous signs as a reminder and their requirement. The guideline regarding the face mask is for June. At this time, face coverings will be worn throughout the Pathway to Work campus, possibly including in the classroom. If this policy changes in August, we will be sure to let you know.
- Unicorn Haven does not have a face-covering for those who have forgotten to bring their own and students will not be permitted to attend the class without one.
- Parents/Caregivers are to drop off their students at the beginning of class.
- Students will be individually brought to you at the end of class
- Parents will have two options while the class is in session (based on how their child does with them not being close by):
- 1) Parents will be allowed to wait in an empty room in the suite (there are multiple rooms which will allow us to follow social distancing guidelines)
- 2) Parents can wait in their car
- No snacks or water will be provided.
- No eating will be allowed during class or in the suite.
- Please bring your own clearly marked water bottles.
- The water fountain is not available for use.
- We will wipe down the following items regularly.
- Desks
- Doorknobs
- Light Switches
- Counter tops
- Handles
- Tables
- Phones
- Keyboards
- Toilets
- Faucets and Sinks
- Chairs
