"Advanced" Social Heroes (Recommended ages 6-9) SOLD OUT

This class meets virtually on ZOOM.
Saturdays 9 AM - 10 AM
This class is for students who have taken the beginners course with us or have previously attended a class(es) that used the Superflex™ curriculum.
Students will learn and apply the five-step power plan in various social situations with different Unthinkables©. Students will practice flexible thinking and identify strategies for overcoming their individual challenges, learning from our hero Superflex™. The class curriculum is built around the students who enroll in the class. Social Me - Recommended Ages 9-12 SOLD OUT

This class meets virtually on ZOOM
Saturdays from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
This class is a powerhouse of social knowledge to help children in elementary and middle school transition into the more socially-complex and socially-demanding grades and become stronger social problem solvers. Drawing from Social Thinking and Me (Winner, 2016), students will practice thinking about hidden rules and expected behavior in order to better navigate social opportunities in school, home, and community settings.

Thinkers (Recommended Ages 14-17) SOLD OUT
August 11 - September 29, 2020
This class meets virtually on Zoom
Tuesdays from 5 PM to 6 PM
As students get older the dynamics interactions with peers and adults continue to change. Students in the class will be challenged to infer and explain social expectations in a variety of complex scenarios. Instruction will address being a part of a group, social perspective-taking, the friendship peer-a-mid, and other related skills. The curriculum will be built around the students who enroll.

A - Team (Recommended Ages 18 +) SOLD OUT
August 13 - October 1, 2020
This class meets virtually on Zoom
Thursdays, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM
Using Social Behavior Mapping (Winner, 2010), Healthy Relationships (Sondoozi, Loiewski, Tompkins, 2013) and Socially Curious and Curiously Social (Winner, Crooke, 2011) participants will learn how to better navigate the life of an adult with HFA, AS.
Topics in this group will be chosen by guardians and participants based on their current areas of need.

Beginners Class - Social Heroes (Recommended ages 6-9)

This is class is designed for students who have not had prior exposure to the Superflex™ curriculum. (The advance class is listed below.)
Using the “You are a Social Detective©” curriculum, students will learn to use their eyes, ears, and brains to find out what others are thinking or planning to do and what they are saying with their words and their actions. These are the basic concepts needed prior to moving on to Superflex™. The amount of time spent on each curriculum depends on the student's progress. Using Superflex ™ ... A Superhero Social Thinking ® Curriculum (Winner and Madrigal, 2008), students will practice flexible thinking and identify strategies for overcoming their individual challenges, learning from our hero Superflex™.

Young Thinkers (Recommended Age 11 - 14)

Combining Mindfulness, CBT techniques, confidence building and Social ThinkingⓇ students will be challenged to infer and explain social expectations in a variety of social scenarios. Instruction will include various techniques and how to incorporate them with concepts such as being part of a group, social perspective taking, the friendship peer-a-mid, and other related skills.

During the COVID-19 emergency we will be offering Virtual Classes.
Once the CDC states that it is safe for in-person classes to resume and we are able to meet all the required guidelines, our in-person classes will be held in the Pathway to Work Building
located at 1445 East Guadalupe Road,Tempe AZ 85283.
We will continue with virtual classes for those who want it.
