Holiday Social Etiquette Class --- Tuesday, December 17th Time: 3:30 to 4:30 PM
Recommended ages 8 - 15 Co -Ed
Have your child ready to enjoy the holidays! Unicorn Haven will be teaching basic social etiquette for holiday situations. Children will learn that practicing good manners should be a way of life. Knowing what is expected and what is unexpected helps build and promote self-confidence and nurtures positive self-image. By learning the guidelines of basic holiday manners and traditional etiquette, children learn the skills to navigate the holidays with ease and confidence. Cher Higgins was trained by the Ariza school and John Casablancas, and later taught self development at Barbizon and Stephen Mitchell Studios; and Barbora Hladek is a social cognition specialist.
This class is a perfect way for your son or daughter to learn social skills and holiday manners in a fun and relaxed setting. The one-hour class will draw from the Social Thinking® curriculum (Michelle Garcia Winner) as well as self-development and social etiquette techniques to teach basic concepts such as introductions and greetings, holiday etiquette, gift-giving and receiving, good manners, whole body listening, small talk, and how to use social filters during times when children may find themselves in unexpected situations or unfamiliar places during the holidays.
