Raising Special Kids (Educational Resource Link)

​​Raising Special Kids is Arizona's Parent Training and Information (PTI) Center . PTI Centers are established under Part D of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) under a grant from the United States Department of Education; each state has at least one PTI Center.

​Arizona Department of Education - Exceptional Student Services


ESS ensures that public education agencies in Arizona have special education programs, policies, and procedures that comply with the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and its implementing regulations, and that eligible children and youth with disabilities receive a free appropriate public education (FAPE). ESS provides professional learning opportunities, provides technical assistance to schools, supports the needs of families of students with disabilities, monitors schools for compliance with the regulations that implement the IDEA, and administers the IDEA Entitlement grant.

The mission of Advocacy 31Nine is to advocate for the education sucess of children in foster care in Maricopa County. 

Susan Marks & Advocates, PPLC

Susan Marks & Advocates is an Arizona-based law firm and advocacy group devoted to addressing issues arising from having a disability. Arizona Office For Americans With Disabilties (ABA)

Mission: Our mission is to guide the State of Arizona in implementing and complying with federal plus state disabilities laws. The mission will be accomplished by:1. Providing resources and information.

2. Providing training first to employees of the State of Arizona and second to public and private sector organizations.

3. Providing an open door for people with disabilities.

4. Functioning as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) coordinator for the State of Arizona.

The Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) program is an account administered by The Arizona Department of Education that is funded by state tax dollars to provide educational options for qualified Arizona students. By opting out of the public school system, parents can seek a range of alternative educational services, such as private school or home-based education, to tailor an individualized educational plan that is best for their child.  The ESA program is not affiliated with any services, providers, vendors or websites, please ensure you are referring to our website and documents for program direction.
